Title | Lovers Lane |
Caption (front) | Lovers Lane, Belleville, Neb. |
Message | This card represents a beautiful grove near the college where many students attend. It is called Belleville. It is halfway between where we live and Omoha. They say it is a beautiful place. I don't know if the trees were planted or was already there. In this country in most places they plant their trees and cultivate them to keep them growing. They mostly plant Cottonwood and Box-elder. They soon grow, and form a large nice tree, of course there are native timber of different kinds. But generolly they don't grow where they are wanted - many farmers have nice large are herds of all kinds of fruit, there are abundance of wild fruit of different kinds - such as plumps, gooseberrys, sand cherry, choke cherries, and strawberries. and anonomous other stuff to tedious to mention when I first came most thought I never could get used to what we had here. I was born and raised in Washington, Pennsylvania. |
