Caption (back) | A. I. U. Citadel, Columbus, Ohio; 555.5 feet, is the world's most beautiful building and higher than Washington Monument. It is owned by the American Insurance Union, which was founded in 1894, and has paid over $64,000,000 of Life, Health, Accident, Old Age and Child Insurance. With its Old Ivory terra cotta exterior and its 1,700 copper and plate glass windows, it is easily the most beautiful building in the world. It is the home of Radio Station WAIU. Its stores and offices located on the Civic Center, have advantages which cannot be equalled in Columbus. The newest and finest Keith-Albee Theatre, seating 3,100, and the Deshler Hotel, one of the best in America, with its 1,000 rooms, occupy space in the Citadel. |
