Caption (back) | Acoma has been termed "the City in the Sky". It is located in a beautiful valley 7,000 feet above the sea, upon the top of mesa which itself is 357 feet above the floor of the valley. The pueblo is really three giant buildings running east and west a thousand feet and rising forty feet high. Each building is several hundred feet long but cut by cross walls into separate little homes. |
