Caption (back) | One of the most unusual attractions of the Rocky Mountain region is the annual public hike sponsored by the Boulder Chamber of Commerce to the famouse Arapaho Peak and Glacier. The glacier which is the largest in Colorado is owned by the City of Boulder; thus, Bulder is the only city in America actually owning a glacier as its source of water supply. The altitude of the glacier is 12,000 feet while Arapaho Peak rises to 13,500 feet. |
